Prevention and Early Intervention
The importance of developing prevention and early intervention approaches as a way of mitigating demand for more costly and intensive services was recognised by creating a specific cross cutting workstream. Nine local authorities in the South East were provided with funding to support projects and the lessons from these projects are being pulled together in the form of an evaluation. Further work to support this agenda, including learning resources for managers and practitioners in local authorities are in development.
