Yorkshire & Humber

The Joint Improvement Partnership (JIP) is a partnership between the Regional Improvement and Efficiency Partnership (RIEP), the Strategic Health Authority (SHA), Regional Government Office, the Department of Health (DH), the Association of Directors of Adults Social Services in Yorkshire and Humberside (ADASS), and improvement bodies such as the Local Government Improvement and Development (LGID), Skills for Care and Care Services Efficiency Delivery (CSED).

The vision agreed in December 2009 was that the JIP works collectively to achieve improved outcomes for people's health and well being by providing strategic leadership, ensuring effective use of resources,
coordinating key stakeholders, sharing a regional vision, and promoting innovation and creativity. To help deliver the JIP's vision the RIEP and the DRD provided £3.8 million between them to be administered by a JIP programme office of three staff.
To manage this budget a number of thematic work streams were created: Personalisation, Transformation, Efficiency, Improvement and latterly, Structure Change.

The programme has run over 25 projects many of which have now been completed. Take a look at our projects, and products - many of which can be downloaded by clicking on 'products' above.
